An introduction to cosmochemistry
Description
This textbook deals with the composition and evolution of material objects in the universe, from terrestrial and moon rocks to quasars: what are their compositions and how do they arise? There are two main themes: chemical processes responsible for the abundances we observe, and nuclear processes in which chemical elements originate. The author presents a self-contained and interdisciplinary synthesis, aimed at the advanced undergraduate/graduate student. The book has problem sets to aid understanding and an extensive bibliography.
