First realised as a play, 'The Grey Zone' is based on historical events at Auschwitz in October 1944, and the only armed revolt by prisoners assigned to work in the crematoria. This book is a powerful account of what inspired Blake Nelson, and how he prepared himself and others to make this haunting movie.
